Chris Buckton, Barry Robson, Mark Harding, Ian Smith & Dr Mike Stroud OBE will be kayaking over 100km from England to Alderney on sit-on-top kayaks for charity. The five intrepid ‘yakers will be paddling their sit-on-top kayaks from the south coast over to the Channel Island of Alderney during June of 2014.
Travelling through one of the World’s busiest shipping lanes the challenge will take over 18 hours and will be the first time anyone has completed this on SOT kayaks.
They are carrying out this challenge to raise sponsorship and awareness for Macmillan and HOW, Heroes on the Water.
