British Record Fish Committee

The BRFC met at the Fishmongers Hall, London on 10th February 2010. In attendance were Ian Epps (Chairman), Oliver Crimmen (Natural History Museum), Scientific Advisor, Nigel Hewlett (Environment Agency), Scientific Advisor, Mike Heylin (Angling Trust) & Andy Nellist (Angling Trust – Freshwater). Chris Clark (Angling Trust – Marine), Len Le Page (Guernsey Record Fish Committee), David Rowe (Secretary)

The following records were ratified by the Committee on 10 February 2011:

Other claims considered by the committee:

a) A decision on a claim for a new record for the sea fish species, Spanish Mackerel (Scomber Colias), submitted by Mr Robert Lomas was deferred pending further information in respect of the Scales Certificate.

b) A decision on a claim for a new record for the mini sea fish species, Tompot Blenny (Parablennius gattorugone), submitted by Junior angler Shaun Upham was deferred pending further information in respect of the Scales Certificate.
