17 anglers including a couple of new faces and visitors to the area met up at Red House Caravan Park to head off for what should have be some good fishing.
With many reports of dogfish, smoothound pups and the usual flatties and whiting about everyone was confident of a good evening. But how wrong that was, fishing was very slow from the start but at least it was a pleasant evening with little wind and no rain.
Before darkness fell Leon Smith had managed a couple on the card taking an early lead and by the end of the match he had manged to land four scoring fish to win the match with 1lb 2oz. In second place and on the adjacent peg was Kimberley Lawn with two fish weighing 111/3oz. Taking the last podium spot two pegs along was Simon Bone with 10oz.
No dogfish or smoothies caught this week but as we are back on the shingle next week at the Old High hopefully it will be a more productive match. Please book in on here or via the shop. The next match will be our first lucky peg draw so remember you need to be in it to win it!
