Codling are continuing to show along the Lancashire coastline together with good whiting. Black lugworm and squid are the effective baits.
Allan Cordwell fished in difficult conditions, with a real hooligan blowing but it stirred things up a tad providing an angry sea and making it look very ‘Coddy’. Allan fished with squid and black lug wraps on a 4/0 sliding pennel and yellow tails on 3/0 loop rig.
He beached 46 fish, dogs, whiting, dabs, flounder and several cod with the best two going 3½lb and 3¼lb. The bigger fish came on the flood and it was busy on the ebb with smaller fish and flatties. Great session and great bait from Bispham Angling.

Nathan Pickering enjoyed a brilliant session fishing the gullies with Eddie Weitzel. He started with a huge a huge whiting then at low one around the 5lb mark which when gutted had a dab, a sandeel and crabs in it.
Then shortly after he had one around 4lb, maybe just under lots of whiting in a rough sea. Best bait lug and squid, the worms via Browny from Bispham Angling, top quality.
