Codling And Rays On The Lancashire Coast

by Jordan Russell

lancashire latest news logoA shorter report than normal this week as Jordan is on holiday on the dark side fishing for carp.

Fleetwood and District Angling Club were out on a windswept Marine Beach for their latest match. The wind was a bit stronger than anticipated but a good turnout of 31 anglers fished the event.

The fish were not in the expected numbers and about half the competitors blanked.

Most of the fish caught were small codling along with a few whiting and flounder. Worm seemed to be the best bait, although a few fish came to crab.

Mark Broadhurst and Trevor Barnett were the two anglers who had the most fish with Mark coming out ahead of Trevor on points.
