Tubertini Team up with England Boat Squads

by David Proudfoot

The Angling Trust has announced a new three year deal with Tubertini UK that will see Tubertini become the Official Supplier to England’s Senior and Youth World and Home Nations Boat squads from 2015-2017.

The Italian manufacturer is known for its high quality tackle and is used by many of Europe’s top competitive anglers from sea fishing, surf casting, fresh water, lure through to carp angling. Tubertini have supported Team England Boat squads for the last 3 years.

Under the previous deal, Team England Boat squads enjoyed unprecedented success, no more so than in 2014 with team and individual honours at home and abroad.

England Seniors took gold and silver respectively in the World Championships and Home International while the Youth squad took bronze at the World Championships.

Mark Theedom from Tubertini UK said: “Tubertini are pleased to be able to offer continued support to the England boat team. At this level you need the best equipment and terminal tackle that is available. Combine this with the professionalism of the England boat team and we anticipate excellent results at this year’s World championships and home nations events.

England World Manager, Rolf Marschalek said: “Tubertini are recognised as a brand leader within sport fishing and it is a great honour for our teams to receive their support both at home and abroad. Our preparations for the FIPS-M World Championship have begun and we are looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead. It is an opportunity to retain our title as World Champions and also continue to raise the profile of our sport through our success, and we thank Tubertini for their support.

2015 will see England look to retain their title as World Champions when they head to County Donegal, Ireland in September for the FIPS-M World Championships while the Home Nations team will aim to match the result achieved by the World Team and win gold as they head to Weymouth in June for the SALC Home Nations Championships.
