The Angling Trust is inviting experienced, passionate and dedicated volunteers to support and deliver domestic and international sea angling events through its Marine Competitions Group.
The Angling Trust aims to add a Shore and Boat Angling National to its competition portfolio for 2016 and beyond and is seeking two key volunteers to lead on the introduction of both competitions, working alongside Angling Trust Competitions staff.
The Shore and Boat Angling Competitions Coordinators will also work with the Trust’s Marine International Committee to lead on the planning and delivery of FIPS-M World Championships and SALC Home Nations events.
Ben Thompson, Angling Trust Senior Competitions Manager said “National Championships form an integral part of a performance pathway to elite level. In seeking key volunteers to lead on the introduction of these competitions we aim to provide competitive shore and boat anglers with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
The recruitment of these volunteers also links with our ambition to bring major international competitions to England across all disciplines. England remains one of the most consistent and high performing nations in the world as our Senior and Youth World Boat teams demonstrated in 2015, while the organising committee responsible for delivering the FIPS-M World Boat Angling Championships showed as a nation, we have a lot to offer when it comes to hosting major international events.”
