Shore fishing is a bit slower than the previous weeks but the boats have certainly been getting among the fish. Plenty of whiting, with some being a good size, with a few rays and cod also showing. As for the Wall, mainly small stuff such as flounder, dabs and whiting with the best bait being rag and black lugworm fished on small size 2 hooks.
Proving that there are better fish around Gary Dawson landed a couple of good cod with the best topping 7lb from Clevelys.
Fleetwood and District Angling Club fished a match among the pleasure anglers on the Gynn Wall. The fishing was not great little dabs and a few whiting and a couple of flounder.
Craig Thompson was top on the day with nine fish scoring 40 points. Mike Owen had the longest fish, a 38cm flounder. Worm and razor fish seemed to be the top baits.

The Club’s AGM on Sunday 25th February any proposals need to be in writing, seconded and handed to any committee member by next Sunday.
Fylde Boat Angling Club member Daren Evans landed a 5lb 12oz cod which picked up his fresh black worm bait.
