The last match of the summer season saw 21 anglers gracing the shingle bank at Kelling. On a beautiful warm summer’s evening the pegging was left and right of the gate as normal.
Fish were coming in from the off for many, and as predicted the majority would be under our normal size limits so a good choice to make it an 18cm and over match. This resulted in the majority carding fish.
Top rod on the night was Eamon Finch with 13 fish for 6lb 31/3oz. Second place went to Ian Childerhouse with eight fish for 4lb 11oz, and third place went to Adrian Bordianu with 15 fish for 4lb 3oz.
The biggest flatfish was a 33cm flounder and top round fish was a 37cm bass both caught by Eamon giving him a clean sweep of the prize money.
We now have a break on Monday nights, but social matches will be posted up and everyone is welcome to attend so keep your eyes peeled on Facebook.
