Peter attempts new record for team fund raising event

by David Proudfoot

At the May NESA competition on the 13th May, World and UK distance casting record holder Peter Thain will be attempting something never done before on the casting circuit.

Six leads, and five inland events, all in one day. There are two targets to reach; the first is to raise as much as possible for the England squad attending this year’s World Championships. The second is to be the first person to cast over a mile using all eleven disciplines cast at the UKSF. On the day Pete will be casting leads at six weights from 175g down to 50g as well as turning his hand to the fly rod and three lighter inland water casting weights.

To donate money for the England casting team simply pay your £1 entry at the May NESA competition. Online entries close midnight GMT Friday May 11th.

Longest distance in each event will count, and the nearest guess in yards, feet, and inches to the total score wins a 1/2 kilo spool of Viz line.
