by Jordan Russell

Some good fishing still along the Lancashire coast but mainly after dark. There are plenty of whiting, codling, bass, dogfish and rays showing.

Wyre Boat Angling Club member Jason Turner enjoyed a great day afloat when he smashed his personal best with a bass of 8½lb.

Fleetwood and District Angling club fished their latest last Sunday at Stanah.

The weather was terrible for the anglers as they were hit by heavy rain at the start which turned the banks into a mud bath.

The rest of the competitors fared no better only four caught fish between them. The match was for the biggest single flounder. A total of five fish were caught.
