The Organisers would like to thank all the 39 anglers who fished the Bispham Angling and Lancashire Sea Fishing RNLI match last Sunday at the Wall. The conditions appeared at first to be spot on but the fishing proved difficult for most of the anglers. Top spot and £95 in prize money went to Alan Smith for his total length of 156cm. Grauvell agent Jordan Russell tested their products and took the runner-up place and £65 with 134cm.
Third placed Chris Dance lifted £28.50 for his measured catch of 119cm. Ruth Parkes won a Rigged-Out Rigs voucher in the lady’s section as did Luke Dewerden in the Junior section. The competitors raised £308 for the RNLI. A huge thank you to Phil and Kyle from the RNLI Blackpool for the goodies and also for attending the presentation.
The group are going to organise a mid-week night match soon for all those interested. They will post updates on Facebook.
Dave Brown fished on the Gynn Wall last Thursday and enjoyed a productive night after a slow start. The evening commenced with small cod before the fish came on the feed with double shots on a regular basis. He ended up with a mix of whiting, which weren’t massive, rockling and codling.
Fleetwood and District Angling Club organised a match on last Sunday at Beach Road. Entries were down as a number were across the water fishing the Irish Winter Beach competition or fishing the above Charity match.
Despite good conditions the event was quiet until high water when the whiting appeared for the final 50 minutes.
