Chris Smith fished Clevelys last weekend with daughters Evie-Grace and Millie aged nine and six respectively. They had a great time with a nine bass haul with the best weighing in at 4lb. The biggest fish was caught on a Bispham Angling three hook flapper rig baited with ragworm.

The youngsters continued their good form when Harrison Lydiate landed a nice dogfish on ragworm. Harrison used his new Grauvell Vertix Volcan continental rod to land the fish.

Last Sunday Fleetwood and District Angling Club fished their latest Flat and Round match on the Gynn Wall at the Miner’s Home. Weather was good, sunny and a very light breeze. Thirteen anglers fished which was a decent turnout as several members were away fishing in the Isle of Man and at Walney Island.

Unfortunately the fishing was disappointing and only two anglers managed to get both a round and flat fish. Everyone did catch caught weevers, but these don’t count . In joint first place on 13 points were Trevor Barnett, tub gurnard/flounder and Dave Norton bass/plaice. All other anglers only had the one type of fish so did not qualify for the main event. Roy Slinger – 2 sole 1 flounder 16 points

Ken Forrest – 1 flounder 11 points

Alf Ingham – 1 plaice 11 points

John Hughes – 1 dab 1 plaice 10 points

Bob Sherman – 1 tub gurnard 9 points

Tim Wrigley – 1 sole 7 points

Jordan has a special offer on in the shop this week with 10% off all Grauvell continental sea rods.
