Happy New Year 2023 – hope all your catches this year are cardable and are to size.
22 anglers fished, with a warm welcome to Duane and Daniel Lockwood, and to Andy Bunn returning to NAC fishing fresh from management training, we could all do with positive framing and reinforcement in 2023.
In total 126 fish caught with the additional of the usual plague of undersized dabs and whiting. Tough night for many, including me. While over 80% were whiting it was good to see a few rockling, dab and a lone flounder. Biggest flatfish was a 34cm flounder picked up by Andy Turk, and the biggest round fish was a magnificent 36cm whiting picked up by match winner Steve Medlar.
Steve on top form at the moment giving Nathan Drewery, Ian Childerhouse and Pond Pete competition in these final matches of the 2022- 2023 winter league. Who will finally lift the trophy?
New summer schedule to kick off shortly, so if anyone has any venue ideas feel free to let me, Cain, Roger, Nathan or Ian know.
I thought last night we managed to not have need for any VAR for results last night, but looks like I missed Will Sprule who crept in with 170 points piping Pond Pete (168 points) and Nathan (167 points). It wouldn’t be a NAC match without a reporting gaff, apologies all.
Feel free to subscribe to Pond Pete’s YouTube channel for this match and previous matches, a great way for newcomers to the club to see how the club works.
