The cod have finally turned up this week on the Lancashire coast with some anglers having hauls of five or six fish a session to 6lb, what a difference a week makes.
Dale Edwards fished Rossall three hours up to high water and one hour down. Dale thought it may have been unfishable but turned out to be very good conditions. He had a few whiting and two cod which took ungutted lugworm from Bispham Angling.

Among all the small whiting Luke Scott finally had his first cod of the season from high water today in Fleetwood. At just under 5lbs a great start to the winter.

Andy Denton fished Rossall over high water this morning from 0400 to 0900 hrs. Plenty of whiting and a single codling making 5lb on his spring balance. Weed not too bad but it was there throughout the session. Also good to meet and put a face to Terry Brown.
