A lovely summer’s evening and a stunning venue to try out at Sea Palling. With the majority having never fished this venue and others not fishing it for a good number of years, none of us had any expectations.
It was decided to simply spread out along the bays and fish near each other without the need of pegging, so left and right we fanned out, with 12 of us getting setup.
Fish were there from the off with dabs, flounders, whiting, and bass all showing up. With everyone finding fish it was a very enjoyable evening in good company.
Finding his first podium spot was Robert S J Smith fishing his second club match, managing a very good third place with 11 fish for 3lb 52/3oz. Second place went to long time club member Billy Rush who fished hard to find 15 fish for 4lb 51/3oz.

Taking top spot this week was Dene Conway with 23 fish for 5lb 31/3oz.
With 92 fish recorded between us you can say the venue fished very well and we shall return at some point. Heaviest Flat fish was a three way split with Russell Taylor, Billy Rush and John Harvey all having a 31cm flounder, the biggest round fish went to Robert S J Smith with a 39cm bass.
Well done to all who fished next match was due to be this Sunday but due to other events being on this is now going to be on the Monday evening venue will be announced on whats app group and on Facebook group.
