Mersey Thornback Fishing

Paul had a local trip to Perch Rock on the Wirral sea fishing for thornback ray. He would target the thornback rays with sandeel and squid with good results with two thornback rays taking the baits.

Not the best conditions for fishing with the strong winds and rain but Perch Rock is a good fishing venue and with the smoothhound season coming to an end very soon, the thornback ray fishing will now pick up pace and fishing for skate will now take over.
