The Deal Angling Club 1919 presents their Pier and Beach Festival (better known as the ‘Turkey Run’) on Sunday 8th December 2013, with fishing from 11am to 4pm.
This is the match that everybody enjoys and has a great atmosphere. There are 30 turkeys and Christmas fare to be won and with many class prizes and optional pool monies paid out the chance of winning a prize is greatly enhanced.
In this competition the angler may nominate which zone he/she wants to fish and then pick their peg number in that zone. Zones will be at Sandown Castle, Deal Castle, Walmer Castle and Deal Pier. The rules are standard NFSA and will be available at the Club’s HQ. Entry fee is £12 with an optional pool of £5. There will be a free Team entry for up to four anglers. Entry forms are available at Fishing Tackle shops or download from the Club website.
Booking-in and peg draw will take place on the Saturday evening prior to the Festival at the 1919 HQ from 7pm till 9pm, this will give anglers a chance to have a drink and chat about the next day’s prospects … or book in on the day from 9am till 11am.
The weigh-in will commence in the scales room at the rear of the club and the prize giving will be held shortly after, in the main hall. The bar will be open. Enjoy.
