Flying gaff

by David Proudfoot

Flying gaff – A gaff head fitted to a pole and kept under tension by a rope. When the fish is gaffed the pole is removed to allow the fish to thrash without danger to the angler. Without the pole it can be use in place of a drop net when fishing at height.
