LRF- flounder on lures

by David Proudfoot

A different way to catch flatties- much more efficient than a bait fishing and a more sporting method. The flounder is a good fighter on the light tackle and there is no problem with unhooking the fish and putting it back. Light gear is a key. My setup is a 7’ 8’’ rod-1-7 gr casting weight-xtra fast action, reel size 1000 loaded with mono line 0.18mm in dia. This line is overpowered, but gives me a chance to reduce lure loss where the river is full of snags.
