Chum

Chum – Mixture of chopped oily fish (herring, mackerel etc.) used, normally with fish oils and bran or sawdust, to attract fish to your fishing spot. It is either filled in a mesh sack or thrown into the water loose. Also known as ground bait, rubby dubby and shirvvy.
