The sea fishing on the Lancashire coast continues to be excellent despite pier closures. The beaches and Gynn Wall are just full of fish including some real gems. Fresh and frozen crab have really proven to be the best baits along the coast with personal bests being smashed everyday.
New comers Phil Swift and son Oscar got to grips with things after fishing just a few tides and landed their first ever smoothhound and a cracking one at that. The hound took frozen crab off the Gynn Wall at Red Bank Road.
Pier member Dave Tommany had a session on the Wall as anglers are not allowed to fish the pier at the moment but that didn’t stop him having a multiple hit of big fish.
