Through-action rod – A rod where the blank is designed to bend from the tip to the butt.
Test curve – The method of rating a rod for use with a particular weight for casting, measured in pounds. Used mostly for carp style rods.
Terminal Tackle – Refers to any tackle other than the rod, reel and main line that is used to make rigs and traces. Swivel, leader line, wire, hooks, etc.
Tackle box – A large, plastic box used to transport tackle to and from an angling venue.
