Pennel – A rig where the snood terminates in two hooks, one above the other. Used to present large baits.

Pendulum Cast – A casting style designed for distance where the terminal gear is swung in a pendulum motion in the air to pre-load the rod prior to the ultimate casting action. It is widely used by tournament casters.

Pelagic fish – Fish that range in the upper area of the sea.

Pelagic – Of or in the open ocean above the demersal zone.

Pegged – A match where the anglers have to fish at a drawn peg for the duration. The opposite of a rover.

Peg – An anglers fishing station during a shore competition.
