Weather Restricts Fylde Sea Angling

by Jordan Russell

lancashire-news-logoWell it’s not been the best week for weather with mostly it being unfishable for sea fishing on the Lancashire coast. The people that have got out in the gaps in the weather have been catching though. So very short report again due to the lovely English weather!

Fleetwood and District Angling Club fished their latest match on Marine beach, where they had the wind on their backs and a much flatter sea.

17 anglers fished and the fishing was a bit disappointing, mostly small plaice and flounder with a couple of sole, pup tope, eel, and a smoothhound for Trevor Barnett.

Blackworm was the best bait for the plaice and crab for most of the others.

Very close result Ken Forrest just piping Dave Norton by a single point, due to a last cast double.
