Skegness Pier Angling Club – North Shore Road match

by Chas Tibble

Croxton’s Dave Burr made it a hat trick of wins in the latest Skegness Pier Angling Club (SPAC) match held at North Shore Road. In-form Dave used peeler crab at close range to catch four flounders and two “pin” whiting weighing 2lb 9oz. Kettering’s Bob Foster finished some way behind in second place with 1lb 4oz and also took the heaviest flatfish prize with a decent 1lb 2oz flounder. Wrangle’s Paul Cridland took the heaviest round fish award with a 10oz whiting and also filled the frame in third place with a total weight of 1lb 1oz.

The appearance of early whiting bodes well for the next SPAC match that will be held on Saturday 23rd October from 5 till 9pm at Sandilands, Sutton-on-Sea, with Club members fishing for the Hewison Cup. There is also an open section, which non-members are welcome to participate in. For further information contact SPAC Secretary Chas Tibble on 07984 967988 or chastibble@hotmail.com
