Lancashire sea fishing is very similar to the last few weeks at the moment, apart from the fact that there have been a few plaice being caught along with the usual dabs, whiting, dogfish, codling and odd bass.
Ragworm seems to be picking the better stamp of fish out. The tides in darkness are still producing the most fish.
Wayne Forshaw did it again, this time from low water off the beach. A worm baited 6/0 rig produced a cracking cod of just over 7lb.

Fleetwood and District Angling Club were out for their first club match since the recent lockdown.
The competition had a great turnout with thirty anglers escaping from their cabin fever.
Unfortunately the fish did not turn up with the same enthusiasm.
The match was for the biggest single fish. As the conditions were not right for cod it was anticipated that a late dog or stray bass would win.
As it turned out only a few founders and small whiting were caught. It was a day for the club veterans today as chairman Mike Owen and Peter Lambert shared a joint win with a 31cm flounder each for 12 points. About half the anglers caught fish.
