Tim John from Pencoed, Wales headed out to Swansea Bay in his own boat the Just Judy last Friday.
Tim and mate Craig enjoyed a great session at anchor as the found the Welsh tope on the feed.
The best fish of the day fell to fresh mackerel fished on a running leger and weighed in at 73.15lb shaking the current Welsh record which stands at just over 79lb.
