Bosse Carlsson, along with fishing buddy Hans-Olov Nilsson took a beast of a halibut – on rod and line from Helnessund in Steigen. Fishing from a five-metre long open boat the two mates were on a cod hunt when the giant flattie took a 300 gm pirk fitted with a Gummi-Mak.
The fish took two and a half hours to land and breaks the existing World Record by nearly 10 kilos.
