Fleetwood and District Angling Club members were out at Lytham where it started off a bit cool but ended up like a summers day.
They started fishing about two hours after high tide and it was very muddy to start but ended up on firmer ground later on.
Next to no wind all day water flat calm, but a bit of weed and the anglers noticed a couple of small harbour porpoises as the match started. It did not fish as well as expected, the consensus was that it needs another couple of weeks as the fish are not switched on to crab yet.
As normally some areas seemed devoid of fish, best area seemed to be to the right of were you walk down.
Congratulations to Ian Hewitt on the win today. Eighteen anglers fished most caught a fish.
