25 turned up to fish, needed the second car park at Mundesley to accommodate car parking. Welcome to Johnny Griffiths, and a return of Keith Shaul. Hopefully we can keep the numbers going throughout the winter months. With weather good, and everyone arrived by 6:00pm we did the draw. Big thanks to Neil and Cain for pegging the beach using high tech laser guided precision tools. Love the rig winders and peg markers!
With such good numbers, and all wanting a successful match its imperative that everyone lets the Match Admin know you are coming to fish a match either by the Facebook page or second best via the WhatsApp group by Sunday evening. This way we can peg beach, have enough cards etc. Your help and support is appreciated.
The match, in summary was a whiting fest with 406 total caught, the remainder being 23 dabs, one flounder, and a few rockling. The cracking flounder was picked up by Andy Turk, while the biggest round fish of 34cm was shared by Jamie, Ian, Mike and John C.
On the night a few pegs not only caught lots of fish but a dose of writer’s cramp recording the catches. With such large numbers please remember to keep cards dry, clean, easy to read and accurate. If anyone needs guidelines let me know or ask an oldie member. Also remember we fish to size limits.
No blanks, record club score and overall catch of fish.
