Humberside/Lincolnshire/Yorkshire report

National Fishing Week beach teach-in, Humberstone Creek

Good weather blessed the National Fishing Week beach teach-in at Humberstone Creek, which proved popular and a great success. Tony Ellis assisted by Tony Burman and others passed on their fishing and casting knowledge to both young and old.  Events over the week covered all fishing disciplines – including fly and pole fishing. Thanks must go to Fox Tackle for the donated prizes.

Shore:  The third round of the NFSA Summer League took place last weekend but I have no results to report at this time. There have been a few hounds on the beaches, but catches have tailed off. Fish should be encouraged back inshore given a bout of south westerly winds.

Boat: Tope are still there for the taking afloat. Mackerel around in numbers, but unfavourable winds have restricted fishing opportunities. This week’s forecast looks better from Sunday onwards, which should give me more to report next time.
